Just realised that la liga will get more UK based football fans watching because of Beckham. I wonder if Sky will promote it more than in previous seasons.
Anyone here more likely to watch it? Personally i have enjoyed the Real v Barca clashes in recent years.

Beckham is OVERRATED (Vastly!!!), he can take great free kicks and errrrmmm maybe corners, but he cannot beat his man .. has got no pace and errrmmm and he is VASTLY overpaid !!! ... good luck to the guy

There were plenty of much better players than Beckham in the Liga already that would make it worth watching. Shame its only on subscription Sky Sports.

I`ve not seen them on terrestrial. Eurosport show higlights in their roundup if European football (also show a live Italian game now that Channel 4 dont bother). EuroNews and sometimes Sky News show clips. Theres a programme called Sgorio on one of the Welsh channels (S4C ?) that has a round up of European leagues and show some I think.

La Liga`s only available on Sky. They present it well. A live game every Saturday or Sunday evening (sometimes both), and a 2 hour highlights round-up/chat on Thursday evenings, with pundits who don`t have their heads up their own arses. Which makes a nice change. I already watch La Liga anyway, so Beckham joining Real Madrid makes no difference. Sky also show the German Bundesliga, but who cares.
I miss Italian Football `Gazetta` on Channel 4. Always enjoyable mainly because of presenter James Richardson`s sly jokes. He`s now underused on Eurosport`s Italian football broadcasts and they seem to have banned him from being amusing. Eurosport also show the French league, but who cares.
