Apparently, "The term mondegreen for misheard lyrics originated from Sylvia Wright`s mishearing of the "Oh, they have slain the Earl of Morray and laid him on the green" from the Scottish folk song, The Bonny Earl Of Morray as "Oh, they have slain the Earl of Morray and Lady Mondegreen".
Two I`ve heard recently are below. Any one got any others?
"The ants are my friends, they`re blowing in the wind"
"Mulligan's tyres"

Mondegreens are misheard lyrics; for example:
"The answer, my friends, is blowin` in the wind" misheard as "The ants are my friends, they`re blowing in the wind"
and "Mull of Kintyre" misheard as "Mulligan’s tyres"
Any clearer?

I was listening to a song with a very elderly person. I said "this song will always remind me of you, thinking the words were "I`m so happy". The words actually were "I`m so hot for you" :(

I used to think that "Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh" was "Dashing through the snow in a wonderful broken sleigh" and I would be thinking how can a broken sleigh be wonderful
