How can anyone call this entertainment? Can we have a uk version please?

Yes...some funny stuff!..like when they have to run across the stepping stones across the river.

Heh yes that was funny, my other fav ones are those with the doors (where they just have to get in and out of the maze without being caught) and that one where they have to run up a slippery slope and write a letter of the Japanese alphabet with a giant paint brush.

I just can`t believe that the director of classics like Hana-Bi and Sonatine is better known as a light entertainer in Japan. It`s like discovering that all of Mike Leigh`s films were really directed by Bob Monkhouse!

Absolutely brilliant series like! I`d forgotten that the new Series started this week, doh!

Personal favourite has to be the "High Rollers", it looks so frigging painfull when they fall off! :D Craig Charles is defo well suited as the voiceover bloke.

The classic moment though was when they actually had a winner (out of 40 shows they had 2 winners last series) what did they win??? After all that pain and hardship they won absolutely nothing!!! :D

Excellent program! I liked the one last night with the big pile of dics where the kid was balanced on top - he/she had to jump up in the air so mum/dad could whack one of the discs out of the pile with a big hammer without the chabby falling off. ROFLMAO!

Another classic from last night - there was one where you had to cross a rope bridge, catch a golden ball half way across, then get the rest of the way while other folks fired balls through a cannon at you. Some woman was bricking herself and barely made it to the point where you catch the golden ball. She caught it, and was still looking like she was about to fall off. The cannon guys took pity on her, thinking she would fall off on her own - she suddenly turned and almost sprinted across to the other side. Classic!!!

Hehe yep the Parent child ones are hilarious like! Some very narked off kids at the end of that one I`ll bet! :)

Am Surprised no-one`s mentioned "Ball Cupping" though! Why oh why do half of em seem to jump in that mud/pig crap/whatever anyway even tho they`ve clearly missed the ball???

Lol, yes, the Ball Cupping was brilliant.

My brother made the good point to me yesterday that we could never have this kind of program over here, and not for the obvious personal injury insurance reasons, but because nobody wants to go on TV and go out in the first few minutes.

The Japs seem to be literally queing up to just enjoy this program as an experience, win or lose.

There have apprently been a couple of special episodes with westerners on it...unexpectedly the Americans tried to cheat like hell half the time from what I was told but still lost anyway! Though you are right though, they could never make it here as they would just get sued by every other contestant as some of the stuff that goes wrong on the show looks incredibly painfull, "Stepping Stones" and "High Rollers" especially but then that what makes it so fun to watch! :D
