Anyone here watch Stargate SG-1?
I am verry interested in how many of you actually watch Stargate, because at my local Virgin Megastore or Woolworths, if you don`t buy the series on DVD on the morning that they are released then you can forget about getting them `cause they sell out within a few hours.
I am a big fan and have all the series R2 dvd`s and 3 versions of the film
Stargate (released by Pioneer and was on of the first DVD`s to hit the shelves and is now a deleted title)
Stargate Collectors Edition (special edition that was released in america by Artisan and had the directors cut on the disc as well as a few trailers and stuff)
Stargate Ultimate Edition (same as above but was spread across 2 discs with disc one holding the theatrical version and disc 2 the directors cut, also included 2 new documentaries on the Stargate)
the series is great, keep it up Sky with those lovely repeats on Sky One Mix

Er I do :)

well, that makes three of us then...
I got the R1 boxset for the first season and all the R2 single disk releases. I generally wait for them to go down in price before I buy. The disk extras are quite good too.

Yep, its a great SI - FI storyline and the effects are well done. Plus the origional film was brilliant with Curt Russell,
The only problem which is common to any series, is that as the show gets older the main actors either start to feel typecast or feel they are not getting enough dosh, so they will start to leave. Ruining the show.
This has started to happen with Daniel leaving, though he does make brief appearences in his `new` form.

apparently daniel is back full time next season, can`t wait

damn, and here`s me thinking `great, the creators have finally realised that guy who plays daniel can`t act for toffee and have gotten rid of him`...
RE: Anyone here watch Stargate SG-1?
I think he did a great job @ daniel, where as James Spader who played Daniel in the film was a bit pants
RE: Anyone here watch Stargate SG-1?
I would buy the series if they weren`t so bloody exensive!

Bensons are doing 2 for a tenner at the mo, but splash & others have dropped the prices as low as £8.99 in the past

2 for £20, but 6 dvds per series = £60 per series, better of with the boxsets (which i actually meant at first) but they`re £45.99 each on play (£40 for S1) which equals £223.95! Lots o` money!
Shame cos i really do like this program and bore everyone i know by always watching it on sky1 when everyone else is in the room!
