Page 1 of A question for Goodfellas fans...

Just watched the movie at the UGC tonight, first time I`ve seen it for years.

When Henry Hill has an airline ticket in his hand (about three quarters of the way through), there was a black rectangle superimposed over the name of the airline (presumably?).

Anybody got the DVD to see what was on it? (I`m waiting for the R1 SE due in November)

Don`t know the answer to your question, but I second being excited by the November release, it`s been one so far that I`ve been unwilling to buy because of the flipper version (although I gather it is available now on R1 as a dual-layer disc? Anyhow, I`ll be getting the specal edition.

Any news on the specs? Scorsese isn`t exactly a great contributor to DVD, so what will the disc be like?

I`ve got the R2 flipper and the airline ticket is blacked out on that as well.
Maybe the airline didn`t want their name/logo associated with the film.

That`s gotta be a first. Just watch the first 30min of Castaway and be pleased they actually deleted product placement from a movie for once!

Chris, what makes you think the DVD will be any different to what you saw at the cinema?

Dunno, just that i`ve seen the film a good few times in the past (on video) and don`t remember said black box

I`ve got this on an old ex rental VHS. I`ll dig it out and let you know.

I have it on VHS and from wht I remember the black box is on it also.

Maybe the name of the airline is `Big Black Superimposed Box Airlines Inc"????
