RE: Stop this advertising
We do try to stop all blatant forum advertising, but we rely mostly on you chappies to let us know, as we dont really have the time to read everything. So feel free to let us know by email of anything of this nature, and we can then consider it`s deletion.See our Contact page.
Of course we are not keen to let the cheapskates use this online magazine for their own purposes, at the end of the day DVD Reviewer is very expensive to maintain, and we need at least some dosh!!
Cheers

RE: Stop this advertising
I dont mind some advertisments as long as they are not professional traders. There just may be something that is cheap and worth buying. I am always looking out for bits and peices like films and video recorders etc. Yes I agree that reading peoples technical knowledge about dvd`s tv`s and video`s is great and since I have used your site I am getting to understand a bit more about dvd players. But its not such a bad thing if the person who`s selling is a genuine private seller. Maybe you could have a section dedicated to buy sell and swop films, dvd players, components, video recorders, Tv`s etc etc but the people using this service must be absolutley private... The traders are taking a right liberty using this site for greed and promoting their businesses for f**k all...
Iron duke you are one crazy dude............dont ever stop.

Yes we only apply this policy to professional traders. Private trades between our visitors are fine. Incidentally Robert and I were discussing two new forums today which will cover `trading between visitors` and `unmissable offers`, both in direct response to several requests from our visitors. These will appear soon. They are also likely to allow you to email (discretely) every one you wish to trade with.
We will continue to remove professional traders posts, and if continually abused, we will deactivate their accounts.
It is only to be expected really, as DVD Reviewer is by far the busiest of all the DVD UK sites with monthly pages served in the millions, but we are of couse keen to ensure that control is maintained. After all, the forums are meant to be useful to all our visitors, and thus we will endeavour to maintain their popularity.

Any chance at having a rather one sided discussion with "Neil Thomas" of www.audiovisionsuperstore.co.uk ?
*EVERY* post he has made so far (4 today and 1 deleted yesterday) has been an advert for his web site with no other content.
