Gladiator region two disk two on the proline 1000/ Proline 1000 macrovision disabled

Got Gladiator 2 for xmas and the disk two hangs after the universal logo appears and the whole player freezes, I am using the proline 1000 from Woolies and have multi region hacked it. How can I get over the problem or do i have to swap the disk or will this still occur. Do any other proline owners have this problem?. On another note i have bought a video bugblaster gadget off a mate and have connected my proline video out to this devise and then to my vcr and hey presto macrovision is now dissabled yippee!!

Nice.

Yeah I would like to know more about the same thing as I own a proline too. I am not sure if I will buy gladiator but it may affect other discs in the same way.

Someone go and give us both some more info.

Yep, known problem, universial repressed the disk as it was faulty. Caused loads of players to not read it.

Do a search @ http://www.deja.com/group/uk.media.dvd for the address to send your disk back to.

Sorry to here about your probs guys, My m8 also bought Gladiator on r/2
and he is in the same position.I too have a crappy proline 1000 that hangs on most movies before i even get to the menu`s.But the only consolation is....is that i borrowed Gladiator on r/1 from a m8 and both discs worked fine.

Your proline hangs on most movies? Thats strange because mine has played every disc I have fed it (except Gladiator disc 2). Sure your proline isnt one of the older models before they changed it for the better?

I must agree with blindinhunger if you are having trouble with the proline 1000 you either have a very old or faulty machine. Mine works in a perfectly average way with most things I chuck on it. Gladiator disc2 replacement is fine although I seem to get huge artifacts on starting the main menu for the first time. Anybody else seeing this oddity.
