Just been to a computer fair today and I didn`t see anything there that I couldn`t get cheaper off the net...so much for bargains.
There was even a stall selling R1 dvds for £19 each!!!
Yeah a lot of traders seem to use them to unload all their s*** as a lot of people go along believing they will get a bargain. Dont bother going anymore. I`ve seen stalls selling PC games in piles all with the same serial numbers, definate pirates.
Whats wrong with pirate cd`s or games you get them a hell of a lot cheaper than in the shops.
I HATE THEM!!!!!...
fighting with the fat, sweaty, smelly geeks.. jostling with each other on a sunday is not my favourite past-time...
neither is listening to s*** commercial dance music pumped out on every stall from their s*** pc`s...
Computer fairs are okay if ...
You get there early (less people).
You know what you want (and have a handy price sheet with you, hey it helps with bargaining).
You want something second hand/old.
You have software with licences to sell (I remember a mate getting £40 for a full copy of Office97 - Taken from his work place I think)
And...there wasn`t a ride to be seen anywhere!
I went to a computer fair and got an Action Replay 2 v2 for my PS2 for £20 instead of £30.
But I paid £3 for the privilege of entering, and petrol to go there in my car, and I had to experience the rest of the fair to find the one thing I wanted, and then worried about what the 13 year old kid would do with my credit card details (since I wasn`t clever enough to go to the bank first).
I guess there`s a moral or a message in this, but I can`t be bothered right now.
