Star Wars: Aspect ratio question
NTL digital broadcast Star Wars on ITV the other night as 4:3, at least that`s how my Pace box picked it up, but someone at work said they were sure Sky broadcast it widescreen. Anyone know how terrestrial broadcast it?

RE: Star Wars: Aspect ratio question
Terrestrial Analogue Tiny little black bars top and bottom of 4:3
Digital Terrestrial 16:9, with the occasional glitch
Adverts p***ed me off so I stuck in the video
RE: Star Wars: Aspect ratio question
Interesting, thanks. I`ve often wondered why so little on ntl is widescreen.
RE: Star Wars: Aspect ratio question
In Mid-Bedfordshire we got it in 16:9 on NTL, but I had a couple of drop-outs, one of which messed up the sound synchronisation. I should have tried the other ITV we get, but didn`t think of it at the time.
I thought normal terrestrial had 14:9 with narrow bands top and bottom.
I only have the 4:3 special edition videos, so the widescreen was nice.
How many here saw it in the cinema back in 77? I sure did.

Me too!
Didn`t give a toss about the cinema before I saw `Star Wars`
After that I was hooked!
RE: Star Wars: Aspect ratio question
Mine was in 16:9 on ntl digital, are you sure that you have the settings set to 16:9?
RE: Star Wars: Aspect ratio question
Ah, good point gingerone, my computer software was set to 4:3, I`ve changed it to autodetect (experimental) and am getting stuff in 16:9 now.
