Here`s a sad football fact for you that I observed today.
Ever since squad numbers appeared on the back of player`s shirts the good old days of having eleven players with shirts numbered 1-11 all on the field at the same time is as rare as hen`s teeth.
Well today it happened : Coventry City vs Nottingham Forest.
Between the 44th and 64th minute, Forest had squad numbers 1-11 all out on the pitch at the same time.
I`ll get me anorak....

The way Notts Co. are going we`ll be lucky to have 11 players on the pitch at any time. Still at least I might be able to fulfill my childhood dream of playing at Meadow Lane if I turn up on Saturday with my boots!
