HI HAVENT PLAYED WITH MY DREAMCAST FOR A WHILE SET IT BACK UP AND IT KEEPS RESETING ITSELF INTERMITTENTLY ANYONE KNOW ANY DRY JOINT SPOTS ETC ON PCB OR COULD IT BE A FAULTY PSU?

Not a lot of help this, but Digitiser on Channel 4 in the UK have published instructions on how to fix this a few times. Thing is mine is ok so I didn`t really take notice... Sorry. If you can get C4 you could email them and get them to publish again.

You can buy a second hand one for about 30 quid now. Still money well spent.

yep, i saw it on digitiser too... but like wad, never took any notice of it.

This is a known bug with the Dreamcast hardware design. I have successfully repaired the error with the following procedure:

1) Turn the unit upside-down, unscrew it and open her up.
2) Locate the power supply, this is where the power cord connector goes.
3) Remove it & place safely to one side.
4) clean the 6 pins that connect the power supply to the motherboard with WD40
5) ___GENTLY___ bend the pins towards the back of the unit slightly. ONLY A LITTLE!!!!!
6) Replace evrything & close up.

That should do it.
