This is supposed to be very, very special. Touted as the maybe best game of this console generation. Will be the first game I`ve bought for the PS3 in a while.

The game looks impressive, but if the guy supplying the voiceover thinks the violence (seen in the video) is brutal, I doubt his integrity as a modern games reviewer. Manhunt dumps on that from a great height, as does the new incarnation of Tomb Raider, which this game seems to steal the upgrade system from in spades.
If it comes out on PC, I`ll take a dip

Eh? Because he said it was brutal you doubt his integrity? The game does have an 18 rating but the violence won`t be the same as the purely gratuitous kind from Manhunt. And Tomb Raider`s violence dumps on it from a great height based on a few minutes long clip? :/
The game is developed by Naughty Dog who are a Sony first party developer (i.e. owned by them) so a PC version is, erm, unlikely. Amazing story, characterisation, script and voice dialogue are rather more likely though.
I`m guessing you haven`t played any of the Uncharted series?

Saw a stream of some guy playing it a couple of days ago. I take back what I said about the brutality. Pretty damned graphic, but from a technical POV, the way the PC utilised the scenery to assist in the despatch of the bas guy was genius

I`m a few hours into it, and it`s pretty damn good. I too experienced the bug on day 1 as Sashenden mentioned above, but it was resolved pretty quickly - was a bug on a stats collecting server, and was fixed within hours of being spotted.
The game itself is amazing. The interactions between the characters, the scenery and the enemy is pretty clever. You get different reactions to different weapons, or even different approaches, whether you go in stealthily or just for a full on attack.
The violence is pretty brutal, but there`s something strangely satisfying about slamming a zombies head against a wall / car / wooden box, or throwing a molotov and watching them flock towards the glowing flames.
If you haven`t got it yet, I highly recommend this one. I`m a good 5 hours into single player and have loads left to do. I`ve not even looked at the dlc / multiplayer yet.
