Page 1 of Early PS3 reports from gamers...they`re very impressed!

Okay, it`s only the gamers on Eurogamer, but if you`re familiar at all with the forum, you`ll know what a miserable lot they are. I used to be a member, but the life sapping cynicism drove me away. There`s a couple of guys who have a PS3, and it sounds very exciting indeed. It`s a long thread, but worth a read, or at least a shufty. Take a look...

I`m a bit torn now. I`m still very much drifting on which system I get next. I`m currently enjoying my Xbox (as some of you know), and won`t be "upgrading" until well into next year. But it seems that they all have so much to offer, and unfortunately I only have a budget for one system. As you do when your missus tells you that`s all you can have! :)

I`ve been kinda fancying a 360 recently, but everytime I read a forum it seems to be disgruntled owners on their 3rd and 4th system, and I really don`t want to mess around like that. I suppose all told it`s just as well I`m waiting really...give it all time to settle a bit. I n the meantime though, I reckon the PS3 will fly. Just a feeling....

That`s one good thing about it being put off until March for us.

by then we`ll know if the PS3 has any hardware problems. Patch for the OS on day 1 isn`t a good start , obviously taken a leaf from Gates` book there ;)



Also, by then some AAA games may be out, or at least some mention of some coming soon with dates.

IMHO hasn`t launched with a AAA system seller. Mostly mediocre by looks of thing, but things may have changed.

If you`re happy with what you got wait.

That`s what I`m doing. happy with my Game Cube. new Zelda will keep me busy for a couple of months, so enough time to work out what to get next.

Wii is looking to be my fave, but not sure how gf will get along with controller. 360 is tempting for Gears of War, Viva Pinata for her.

PS3, hmmn err hmm, it will have some quality, just not sure what exclusive ones, apart from MGS.

Graphic wise saw a couple of game clips on BBC News24 Click program at the week-end, the F1 game graphics were very impressive, looked better than my friends 360.
I`m biased, but I think the Ps3 will take the lead in the end.

BTW did you notice the number of ventilation holes in the Ps3?

Personally as stated before there is nothing I have seen coming out for the PS3 for me. The only games I played on my PS2 was Pro Evo, Smackdown Vs Raw and GTA. Now they are all on the 360 I haven`t seen anything that makes me want one.

Plus I know a lot of people who say they are not getting a 360 because they want a PS3 who are casual gamers. I can tell you for a fact there is no chance they will be paying £400 for a console without a game, they aren`t even aware of the potential price until I mention it too them.

The PS3 may end up being more powerful but when it will cost nearly double the 360 I think a lot of people will go for the cheaper option. The tables have fully turned this time as last time the Xbox was the vastly superior machine, but was released later so obviously PS2 was cheaper by the time it was released by then. This time its going to be the opposite way around though.
