Page 1 of Metal Gear 3 Subsistence has just got an average score of 99%!

On Metacritic (that averages out review scores) it`s just got a whopping 99% with totally stellar write-ups......looks like the PS2 might go out kicking and screaming rather than whimpering to mummy. 8)

That makes it nearly as good as FFXII ;)

Metacritic and Gamerankings are v useful for this sort of thing. The only problem with Metacritic is, is do you really care what the Baltimore Evening Herald thinks about a game ;)

I`ll have u know I never miss an issue of the Baltimore Evening Herald........anyway......it sounds quite a good game.....as does Final fantasy XII.... :)

Famitsu is the stock reference guide for everything gameswise in japan, it`s a huge mag (circulation wise) but oddly enough (imo) none of the above games are worth full marks, not because the games aren`t great, but no game should ever get full marks, nothings perfect. :)

......except for nature`s joyeous bounty.......you need scoring like Spinal Tap`s amps....go up to 11.......why not not make 10 louder?........................these go up to 11. :/


I think a score of 10 means the game is as good or better than anything currently on the market......not necessarily perfect.I remember Conker on the N64 getting 99% a few years back....whereas now it would be lower. :B

Yeah, I agree with you there. With the exception of scoring out of 100/100%. With such a range to play with, a 100%er implies perfection.

MGS3 is an amazing game. I`m surprised a `redux` version of a year old game has scored so highly, though.
