Page 1 of Ooh just played on an Xbox 360... Edit: Offical Launch line up revealed...

Walked into Virgin today and they have an Xbox 360 pod with Kameo all up and running!! The machine does look pretty sexy and first impressions of the pad is good. It`s smaller than the Xbox pad and fits nicely into your hand. The picture running through a Samsung LCD TV was very sharp although a little dark and the game looked superb with loads of stuff going on at once. The saliva was almost uncontrollable. Only three weeks to go...

The closer the release date gets, the more I am intrigued. But I need to see some decent in game footage first. Does anyone know what the killer app will be on release day?

Well I think the killer app is going to be Gears Of War, but I don`t think that will be out upon release date. The main ones are going to be Project Gotham 3 and Perfect Dark, but I`m still to be convinced by Perfect Dark. The games I intend to get are Kameo and Condemed - a really brutal looking horror game from Sega.

They don`t need a killer app for launch, so early adopters won`t be getting one! :p

Gears Of War does look like it will be the first to the table, though.

Call of Duty 2 is supposed to be incredible - however Kameno could be good.

I am limiting my self to 3 games at launch which will be Call of Duty 2, Condemned and either Perfect Dark Zero, PGR3 or Kameo, havent decided yet.

given the reviews of perfect dark zero i wouldn`t touch it with a bargpole untill i actually see it running :( which is a real shame, because when i pre-ordered my 360 that was the game i was most looking foreward to :(

Yay.....just tried a bit of Kameo ,Call of Duty, King Kong on the Game demo machine.

They looked very nice, but I`ve never played the original X-box on a Hd setting to compare.The T-Rex looked very good and the town in Call of Duty was great with nice explosions etc.

The only prob with these games is that they played identical to other games on the current generation.

Kameo has the potential to go beyond this and become a true classic.Call of Duty was .....well Call of Duty that we know running on a good PC.

The true greats IMHO will combine the improved graphics with some inventive gameplay.(probably the best game on the current gen....GTA San Andreas.....hasn`t got the world`s best graphics .....Total Overdose is probably better.......but has got great gameplay ideas in spades.

The game I`m most looking forward to is Elder Scrolls 4......because I`m hoping it has the most immersive game environment seen up to now. :D

i had a look at one in telford on saturday, it was running one of those
desert storm type fps games and tbh, it didn`t look impressive at all.

there was visible slowdown and the resolution was only marginally higher
than current xbox games.

although there are undoubtably better looking games in development, this one did
nothing to persuade me to go and buy a 360.

Chris, where have you seen the reviews for PDZ? I cant seem to find any?

Oh, and I saw the XB360 running the other day too. I can imagine it under the telly, but as you said ste, the games arent exactly filling me with the urge to stick the old black beast onto ebay.
