Whats peoples verdict on True Crime - and how does it compare to the GTA series ??

Very early impression is it`s not as good as GTA.The graphics appear a bit indistinct on the PS2 and the car handling less intuitive.I just reckon how ever good it is GTA is always going to dominate because it was out first and any difference will be considered a negative.Some magazines have given the game very avergae marks.
The fighting seems good though with more subtlety than GTA.
I`ll add more when I`ve tried it a bit more and played the X-Box version.

ive finished the XBox version and really enjoyed it...at first i wasn`t into it that much it seemed a GTA ripoff with bad handling....but it definately improves, you get to improve your fighting, shooting and driving skills...giving u new moves like Tigers Claw (over the top double punch that decks enemies), Improved aim with Laser Sight (which makes it possible to shoot out car tyres with ease)....180 turn which allows u to spin the car at full speed to face the bad guys tailing u...then u can go into the bullet time aiming mode and pop them through the windscreen...

its like a cross between GTA , Dead to Rights and Max Payne....some aspects it doesnt do as well as GTA like the driving, though when u unlock new moves thats a lot better....but the other stuff like the fighting and shooting, as well as earning cop shields by stopping random crimes...this helps the game stand out in its own right.....

it was also have good laugh having the custom soundtrack with Axel F and the Heat is On playing while u chase the bad guys in a cool convertable... 8)
