I had a brief go on the PS2 version a while back and loved it today, it was well worth the wait for the Xbox port, brilliant fun, been playing it all night, my eyes are nearly bleeding!

I have both versions they are almost Identical.

once again so lazy when the xbox can do so much more.

still its a very good game on either system.

I expect the cube version to be just as good

Yeah, aside from the Dolby Digital 5.1 (which is excellent) and the extra crash zones, not much in it.

Yeah, B2 just picked up ***** in Xbox Gamer. What is the actual attraction to the game...it isn`t really a racer in the conventional sense, so is it just a s***load of car-crashing fun?

Er it`s a bit of both Rik! :) It`s a rather good, very fast arcade racer and also the crash physics are so much fun they`ve added a second game mode based on them. One of the most fun racers you can get basically and the sense of speed in the game is probably second only to Quantum Redshift.

It`s basically just very good fun hairing round the courses (which are excellent) at breakneck speed avoiding the masses of traffic etc

It`s one those "I must have just one more go" games that saw me playing it for about 5 hours last night :)

what I find amusing about Burnout is the attension to trackside detail is so good yet if you are going at full pelt it wouldnt matter as the game is moving too fast to really notice.

Alot of the Game Cube reviews say that they have completely overhalled the PS2 version... graphically and in gameplay. Check CUBE magazine,

lol no they have not.

juiced the textures abit and better AA, but thats it, and the gameplay was excellent and simple?

so why change it?

from what I have played they have not

No major overhauls really, as Ironduke pointed out they`ve increased the texture res etc so it is slightly nicer looking but then it was quite god on the PS2 to begin with. The major changes are the new tracks etc and being able to compare your scores online via xbox live is a nice touch though proper online play would`ve been a lot better!
