Up

I booked tickets midweek on line, and was quite shocked by how much tickets have gone up recently, £11.55 each, so was 24.60 for 2 of us inc booking fee

that is to see it in 3d, and luxury seats at the odeon. Cineworld is a bit cheaper but wasn`t clear if it was 3d, and our Pixture House we we usually go to isn`t showing it, and if they do it may not be 3d. (shame as it`s 16.50 for 2 adults there)

However, it was money well spent :)

As usual the short before it was both very funny, and looked stunning.

Up, also looked stunning, was really funny, and a good, albeit bizarre story :) The story kind of reminded me of Anime, it was very Miyazaki -esque.

I`d strongly recommend it, and the 3d works really well, all Pixar films look stunning anyway, but the 3d is really well done to improve the look of the cartoon, it`s not a gimmick, I think there`s only 1 or 2 things flying at your face moments

I first watched this several weeks ago. I liked the film (especially Kevin) but I`m still astounded that film companies can stagger film releases sooo far apart (about 3 months for this one).

Pixar, especially, are pioneers of some of the most inventive and imaginative films of the last decade or so, yet they`ll release a film to great accliam, and expect everyone to hold their breath and do nothing for 3 months before it`s relased on this side of the pond. Not only is it insulting, it`s ignorant.

I got my hands on a copy (I did not download it) 2 months ago and have watched it several times. I have no reason to go to the cinema to watch it and pay £40 for tickets and snacks when I can watch it again for free tomorrow. If Disney/Pixar had done a simultaneous UK/US release (or as near as) then they`d have my money.

Agree Stanz. Also the film works well without the 3D gimmick.

Me and thevwife saw this in 3D and had to pay £2 extra compared to the normal price, but it was money well spent.
It was about 5 months after the US release that we got this in cinemas, and the fact that it`s coming out next month on DVD and is now available to D/L from the usual sources does take the p1ss a little.
I will buy this on bluray as I have a 4 year old who loves Disney films. I`m hoping that Disney don`t start releasing these again when 3D tv come next year.
