Hey mate,

There`s no one great place to buy wrestling DVDs, I`m afraid, although the last time I searched for ECW DVDs at www.pricechecker.co.uk I got some pretty decent matches.

WWF DVDs are notoriously expensive no matter where you buy them, especially considering what you get for your money.

As far as Japanese wrestling DVDs (NJPW, FMW etc.) check out www.cdjapan.co.jp

MrPPV, i`m afraid not the cheapest, but for without doubt the greatest selection of wrestling Dvd`s in the U.K. try www.blackstar.co.uk as they seem to have almost every WWF title ever released! I was looking for a particular double disk set for my son at Xmas, and found a list as long as your arm. Some time ago, my son bought, over the net, from the States a sort of bootleg fight made in Japan, with a barbed-wire ring etc. which had Mick Foley fighting. We let him watch it, and even though he`s a sensible kid and brought up to behave, we made sure we talked thoroughly to him about the consequences of taking it all too seriously!! Trouble is I can`t remember the name of the site. If we remember or find it we`ll let you know. Roger.

thanks, i had a look on Play and they are probably one of the cheapest place ECW dvd`s at around £11 for most of them, the Japanese one that you are talking about was it the King Of The Death Match tournament with terry funk?

Hey guys

I might be wrong, but I`m pretty sure that the "IWA King of Death matches 1995" that you mention (with Funk vs Cactus Jack final) has never officially been released on DVD.

However, it was released in the States on a tape called "Stranglemania". The Insane Clown Posse provided quite hilarious commentary on the release. But even then, only highlights of the tournament were shown on this tape.

It might be that the "Stranglemania" tape has now been released on DVD, but watch out for a similarly titled DVD, which is not the 1995 tournament, but instead one from a couple of years later.

Hope this helps...

Brian

Sorry for not making it clear fellas, but the Jap fight was on VHS, and was bought prior to the DVD system taking off!! I was only trying to say that perhaps the same supplier could possibly supply some DVD`s of obscure fights. (Grovel......grovel) :-)

I know this is an old thread but I just bought ECW Anarchy Rulz on DVD for £10.99 from splashdvd.com, which i think is pretty darn good, all the PPV`s and special events (e.g.house party 99, guilty as charged 2001 e.t.c) are £10.99 and the Hard Hits (best of) series selling for £7.99. Play are selling the main ppv`s etc for £11.99 so you save an extra £1 if you buy from splashdvd.
WWF dvd`s are nearly all between £11-£15 apart from the 2 disc Wrestlemania`s which are a bit more expensive. Dunno about Japenese ones.

Hope this helps someone,

Steve
