RE: Virgin 5 for £30
went into the stevenage store today and there wasn`t anything exciting worth picking up. don`t think there was one disc i can say i really wanted even though the shelves were packed
was better in the cash convertors store where i picked up:
The Hitcher 2 disc SE
The Mission 2 Disc SE
Near Dark 2 Disc SE
Fargo SE
all for a tidy £4 each!
now that`s what i call a bargain!
cheers
Geoff
RE: X Men 2 SE delivered for £9.99...
anyone who`s interested in this offer please be careful and check this is the 2 disk edition as i`ve seen britannia advertising this and it`s only the single disc edition.
don`t wany anyone to be caught out!
thanks
Geoff
RE: anyone here on O2 PAYG ?
well after a couple of days of posting my original question, the games arcade started to work - pretty amazed at the quality of the games.
Before you buy the game you get a couple of screenshots and it tells you how much it is - they range from £1.50, £2.50 and the most expensive i`ve seen was £5 for tiger woods golf.
WIth my pay as you go the internet is free til next year so it don`t cost a penny to actually use it. think it depends what tarriff you are signed up to as to what you actually get.
check out the tarriffs on the o2 website and that should tell you what you get.
thanks

anyone here on O2 PAYG ?
Hi
Anyone here got an O2 pay as you go phone and having trouble accessing the games arcade ?
I got a nokia 3510i phone the other day and everytime i try to access the games arcade it says "your number is not recognised - you may be roaming or accessing games arcade through another network and not O2"
tried all the WAP settings downloads you can get off the O2 website and all still make the same message appear.
Customer services said it had been a problem since september but this sounded like a fob off.
Anyone got any experiences of this or things i could try on the phone ?
I can download wallpapers so the wap is connecting OK
any help appreciated
Thanks
Geoff

RE: ALIEN: DIRECTOR`S CUT RE-CERTIFIED BY BBFC
to be honest i could never believe this was an 18 in the first place - not sure where i heard it but there was a claim it wasn`t so much the horror in the film that got it an 18 but all the sexual imagery (i.e. the aliens head looking like a willy/phallic shape)
how much that is true i don`t know but i can`t wait to see alien ona big screen at last!
cheers

RE: Britain`s Worst Driver - Anyone seen tonight`s episode ?
Yes it is truly fritghtening how these people managed to get a license - The guy in the last series who got really angry at the slightest thing was truly scary - was unbelieveable when he went nuts when he found out a women had go to the pub before he had
Thanks
Geoff
RE: Rollercoaster Layouts.
There`s a game called Disney Coaster - i picked it up in Game a couple of weeks back for £4.99 - lets you build your own coasters BUT one of the coasters included is Space mountain at DLP - lets you ride it from the car point of view or you can pick different camera angles - shows you the track layout and all the loops, etc.
Good fun actually
Thanks
Geoff
RE: Woolworths Summer Sale
a lot of the sale stuff was in the 3 for £20 deal they were doing just before this sale started - lots of mgm titles down from £7.99 to £6.99
panic room was £6.99 and mine had 4 x tv robocop films for £5.99
ransom was £4.99 which i was tempted by
otherwise there wasn`t much else i can remember
Thanks Geoff
RE: An American Werewolf in London bargain or not?
hi
the R1 version is only on 1 disk as well and that contains a DTS soundtrack as well as a dolby digital 5.1 track as well
you get the same extras on all regions and there are no cuts on ANY region
check out:
http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=1451
but as usual R2 is probably the most expensive with a needless 2nd disk to help make universal bump up the price for us british suckers
thanks
Geoff

RE: hunchback of notre dame (disney) under £9 from ezydvd
while i myself have no desire for part 2, this version of HOND (along with region 2) does not appear to contain the commentary that is on the region 1 version - i`d rather pay an extra fiver from futureent.com and get the region 1 than have a substandard disk
just my 2c
cheers
