One of my deepest darkest secrets is that I LOVED Prisoner: Cell Block H. It had a cult following at my school; all us saddoes used to record it and get up early on a Thursday morning to watch it and then talk about it in Maths... :D and then later when Channel 5 showed it I got hooked all over again. It`s less than £1 an episode, but I just can`t justify the total amount for it - the reason I didn`t get a £100 bootleg years ago. :(

cell block h is one of my favourites i must admit. it used to be a big deal, to a few, when i was in school. i used to tape it and watch it during breakfast. i think it was on towards midnight so i may have seen a few minutes, mainly so i wouldnt have it all to watch the following morning.

we even went to see it at he floral hall in southport. the set rotated around, it was in four parts. and afterwards we went to get the autographs, two of them from the television were in the stage show i saw, the second run i think it was. fiona spence (vera) and jane clifton (margo gaffney) were in the one i saw. the programme i got signed was done in the style of the wentworth gazzette . with columns by lizzie and doreen.

and i remember when i went to uni in bradford. it hadnt finished on the television there and one of the lecturers was a fan, it was hard not to tell her some spoilers, as i had seen the end a while before.

My favourite character was Reb Keane - you knew she was tough because she turned her collar up! 8)

Hated it when they brain-washed her and she was all nice and polite, and then she went on to be in Neighbours. Ruined the character for me, that did. :(

I think I`ve just about seen the whole series of Cell Block H give or take a handful of episodes. That`s one box-set I`d love to own, but only if I was lucky enought to win it!!! :o
