Page 1 of Godfather box set

Hey guys

I`m sure some of you guys have purchased the Godfather box set, and I`m just wondering if the set is as bad as some of the reviews on Amazon are saying. I know that some people go over the top in slating some DVD sets, but some reviews are saying that the picture quality is dreadful & that Part II is actually split up onto 2 discs !

Anyone got any opinions on this, or on which region code is better ?

Yes, picture quality is bad at times, but a marked improvement over VHS nonetheless. And part II is on two discs, but I don`t mind that at all... it IS an awfully long film and the break is at a natural point in the storyline. Extras though are fantastic, and its very well presented in the sturdiest boxset yet produced I think...

Well I am happy with my box set. So far I have only watched parts 1 and 2.

Quality is fine. Some scenes are dark but that is just setting the mood of the scene. Yes Godfather 2 is on 2 discs but it is a long film so what do you expect.

Overall the Godfather series are great films, should be in everyones collection.

Nice packaging, and pretty good quality (a tiny bit better than the THX laserdiscs!). Well worth getting if you like the films as there is no alternative to a good R2/R4 collection. Go for it!
