Remake of Robocop coming to a cinema near you

CGI Robocop? Even more violence?

Not seen that film poster before. Any good Film Poster sites?

I remeber someone at school giving me this film in video. No violence or swearing. Watched it a year later on a real video - lots of violence and swearing. The pirate version was cut to ribbons by a pirate. At the time I thought they must have cut the film so the royal family could watch it! Ahh the innocence of youth!

Is this trend for utterly pointless and un-necessary remakes EVER going to end?!

Does anyone remember when a rather oily looking wrestler was glaring at us from the bar at the left hand side of the site? (you remember - a few gay jokes were made, giggles were had...)

Well, the same tights-wearing greaseball is being lined up for `Dutch` role in the wholly unnecessary Predator remake.

I`m assuming this is new information. It wouldn`t surprise me if I read about it on this site and just plain forgot. :o

Oh yeah... Ken is a badass dude!

Ack!

Robocop has not spawned anything good. The first film is amazing, really sharp and perfect. I just don`t think there was enough material to make anything of it... the film was there, the story was told. Robocop 2 and 3 were abysmal. The TV series shocking. No one that worked on Robocop`s sequels seemed to understand what Verhoeven did... it`s not like it was subtle so they either ignored it or abused it.

I`m sure this will be complete rubbish. Unless it is completely re-programmed to be contemporary, rather than a monster-movie remake :¦

Oh dear. :(

A brilliant film at the time (shame about the sequals, 3 was better than 2 IMO), haven`t seen it in years. :(

I watched the ITV version of the first film about 12 years ago & pointed out all the cuts to friends who had never seen the film. :B

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

Again, another one of my all-time faves goes through the remake machine. :(

On the subject of remakes (yet again), Steve Miner is being touted as the director of the forthcoming `Day of the Dead` remake!!! :o

Here!

Apparently, they are going to announce the director of the `Land of the Dead` remake later this week!

I have a feeling that Robocop will be a PG-13 and will be directed by Paul W Anderson.

I wouldn`t be suprised if they remake all the Bond movies from Connery right through to Dalton, as well as remaking The Terminator with The Rock as the T-101.
