Can be more than one, and if the Film(s) came with the DVD, use that one (or 2, whatever)

R1 - X-Men
R2 - The Negotiator (brought with first DVD player)
R3 - Dog Soldiers and Spider-Man (On stopover in Singapore)
R4 - BTTF trilogy (Imported from Oz)

R2 - Terminator 2 because it`s one of my fave films and is still one of the best overall DVDs
R1 - The Crow Special Edition - another one of my faves, and the SE didn`t come out over here until 18 months after buying the R1

On the same day in 1998 I got the original R1 release of Moonraker that MGM brought out just before their 18 month moratorium of Bond releases, and that awful Anchor Bay double sided disc of the Dawn of The Dead that featured the incorrectly titled "directors cut" of the movie.
I bought some Laserdiscs the same day,but the minute I saw the Moonraker menu a couple of weeks later on my first player,I knew that was it for LD and it never got reconnected to the tv.

After I finally succumbed to the DVD craze in 2000, the first ones I bought were Tomorrow Never Dies and The Matrix, although The Matrix didn`t actually play.

First R1 was The Breakfast Club after losing patience with it ever being released domestically.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...
