Page 1 of The Usual Suspects

Now I`ve just seen this on DVDCrave, but I was wondering whether anyone knew about a UK release, because I`m fairly positive that I read that there was one being lined up, but that was some time back.
Anyone have the slightest clue?

Don`t know about a region 2 release, but you can buy it on region 1 from DVDBoxoffice.com for only £12.36.
I`m sure this will be a title that gets the special edition treatment soon, as it`s such a good film.

yeah it is i bought the region 1 version all the same as i could not wait. Anyway the transfer is good but i was p***ed of as it only had spanish subs. For god sake i thought english subtitles were supposed to be standard now. Do they speak spanish in USA and CANADA? what was the point. Its still a class film but i might flog it and get the special editon when it comes out.
I think you`ll find there are a lot of Spanish speakers in certain parts of America. And it is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world believe it or not!
But back to "The Usual Suspects"
A special edition is supposed to be released in R1 in 2002.
I believe (but don`t quote me as I`ve not researched it) that the R4 edition contains an anamorphic transfer and DD2.0 stereo sound, cast/crew biogs, and a commentary track from Bryan Singer.

If memory serves me right I think I saw a top five worst R2 DVD`s in Home Entertainment. Usual Suspects, a Tartan release, was number 3/4. I remember because I was a bit peeved that the R2DVD was a bit crap...
Well, I think I will go for the Region 4 from DVDCrave then, that seems like the best bet. I think R1 and R4 are about the same, contents wise, but I`ll probably get it on R4 anyway. I can`t be bothered to wait until next year just for some extras. Thanks for the info guys!

"Do they speak spanish in USA and CANADA?"
I think its something to do with the Spanish getting to the New World in 1492, Mexico, immigration and all that non-English tosh.
Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in the US. Same reason why lots of paramount DVD`s have French 5.1/subtitles - that little historical problem of the Frenchies in Quebec (Canada, I think).
:D
RE: The Usual Suspects
I`m pretty sure that it`s been out in the UK for a couple of years now. It`s in one of those thinner, clear plastic tread on it and it cracks cases. It hasn`t got any extras on R2 so I didn`t buy it. Good film though.
