Page 1 of Help needed - Does Jaws exist on DVD

HI people, quite a newbie on here so not sure if this has been asked before, if so sorry for repeating.

Anyway

I`ve been looking for the past few weeks for Jaws (the original fim) on DVD as a christmas presewnt for a relative but iam unable to find it anywhere. I`ve looked on Play.com & amazon & Cdwow but can only find the sequels, Jaws :2 / 3 / 4, but not the origianal on DVD.

Anyone know the reasoning behind this at all as it seems weird why this is no longer available

Well it definately exists on DVD because I have it. Only reason I can think is if they withdrew it from sale in preperation for a Special Edition sometime next year maybe.

Just looked at a few places, seems it has been deleted. It is advertised on Amazon.co.uk for £25 and up!. :o They seem to think it is rare.

If the lucky recipient can handle multi-region, it`s available for about a tenner on region 1 here. That`s DTS but there`s a 5.1 version there too for a couple of quids more.

I bought it from DVDSoon a couple of weeks back for about £6 - it was a DTS version.

It might be worth checking your nearest Virgin Megastore - the one in the Meadowhall Shopping Centre had loads last week in their 5 for £30 offer, but the Sheffield city centre store today didn`t have any!

I got mine from Game a while back for £6.99 but it is a slightly different cover to the 25th Anniversary Edition, although the features are identical!

Does anyone know what this is? Is it some sort of euro import version?

it`s £9.99 on movietyme, but it`s on Region 1 tho.
