Director`s Commentary - Which is best?
Since viewing Braveheart and Hollow Man using this device I have become engrossed in the film-making process and would love to see some more. Not that bothered whether the films that good as my local vid shop rents DVDs at £2 a throw, as long as the director`s commentary`s worth listening to.
Thanks.
RE: Director`s Commentary - Which is best?
Have a listen to the following:
There`s Something About Mary (Farrelly Brothers)
Bride of Chucky (two separate tracks, one with the actors, one with director Ronny Yu)
Contact (*three* different commentaries - Jodie Foster, producers, special effects team)
Urban Legend (Jamie Blanks and others)
There are plenty of other good ones, but those are the R2 discs I can think of with the most illuminating and entertaining commentaries.
The best DVD commentary I`ve heard by far is Bruce Campbell`s track on the uncut Evil Dead special edition from Elite Entertainment, but you won`t find that at your video shop :-)

DAWN OF THE DEAD !! Great commentary by FX Master Tom Savini. Very funny and informative. This film is worth the price alone for his commentary!
