Restless Natives

Does anyone remember the film Restless Natives? its about two scottish lads that dress up as a wolf and a clown and rob tourist buses. they become local heroes (i think)
I saw it years ago and now its as rare as hen`s teeth.
on a related note, i really want to see Class of 1984 having once seen the poster when at the cinema (probably to see something like Baby, secret of the lost legend) and thought it looked scary. I am tempted to buy it off eBay, but don`t want to if its going to be rubbish.... i was burnt before by Surf Nazis Must Die - "clockwork orange of the 1980s" by butt!

I remember Restless Natives - It`s kinda vague now - but IMDB had the following to say:

Quote:
Two lads in Edinburgh embark on a non-violent spree of robberies. They dress up in clown masks and act as modern highwaymen, robbing coach loads of tourists in the highlands. In the process they become folk heroes to the locals. Their adventures make for a whimsical and gentle comedy, in the Bill Forsyth vein.

It had cameos from Ned Beatty (Deliverance, Superman, Network etc etc etc), Mel Smith (Morons from Outer Space), Bernard Hill (The Lord of the Rings, Shirley Valentine etc etc ) and ultra-famous Nanette Newman (Fairy Hands).

I think this is long overdue in the DVD arena - add another one to the list.

As Ever,

Restless Native

Restless Natives was really quite cool in its day but I caught it a year or so back and it had dated somewhat. It`s got a great Big Country soundtrack which is even more pointed as Stuart Adamson commited suicide a few years back (the lack of fame was quoted as being a factor).

I somehow doubt [m]any people would buy the DVD if it were to be released given the film, age, topic, etc!
