Page 1 of Region 1 DVDs...

I`m just about to get a mutli-region DVD player and I want to know any Region1 DVDs that I should get too, that are unavailable on R2 or are uncut on R1. I`m already planning on getting Leon: The Professional Uncut. What else is there that I should look at?

Terminator 2 has The directors cut on it but the R2 only has the new scenes as deleted scenes in the special features and not in the film like R1

An R4 version has recently been released but I`m not sure If it has the extra scenes in the film like R1 or as deleted scenes in the special features like R2

As far as I know, the recently released R4 version is much the same as the R2 one we`ve had for ages - i.e. the extra bits aren`t branched into the main film, but are available separately as deleted scenes.

R1 still has the best version of this film.

Get the T2 ultimate edition on R1 which has 3 versions of the movie, all done with branching.

also you can if you got the setup get the first three lethal weapon films in dts!

I don`t have a dts setup so no point in the Lethal Weapon films. I was thinking about getting the Matrix uncut but I doubt I`ll get it straight away as I already have the R2 release and it`s not cut much is it?

If you want an uncut version of The Matrix go for R4 not R1 as it doesn`t have a horrible snapper case it has the same features as R1 and it`s PAL

If you`re getting Leon, I think you`ll appreciate Reservior Dogs 10th Annirversary Edition. 2 discs, dts sound and more extras that you can shake several sticks at. It`s a killer set.

And if you`re getting a multi region player you might want to try some oriental films. Stuff like Shaolin Soccer & Infernal Affiars. Cracking films on R3.
