Charlie`s Angels - Special Edition
Call me peculiar (by the way, that`s _not_ an invitation,) but I rather liked Charlie`s Angels 2000. It was crap, but fun with it, and that`s how I like my movies. I particularly liked Drew Barrymore licking that feller`s steering wheel. I`ll bet his mother warned him about girls like that.
Now, it`s out on R1 for £16.99 on 27th March. There`s no date for R2 but a rumour from Play247 of 25th May. I prefer R2 disks mainly because of things like RCE and the possibility the region coding problem could get worse, although I can play R1 disks without any trouble on my Grundig GDV210A.
I put this to the floor, not just as a question about Charlie`s Angels but about any movie. Without knowing what will be on the R2 release, would you order an R1 version of a movie considering the above personal preferences and discounting things like the 4% speedup which frankly I don`t give a rat`s fundament about?
RE: Charlie`s Angels - Special Edition
Well I`ve got a Grundig GDV210a, and would always recommend Region 1`s ahead of 2`s. It only seems to be Warner Brothers who are really tinkering around with region coding, so unless the film was made by them, I wouldn`t worry too much.
I suppose it just comes down to how long you want to wait to own the film.
I hope that helps!
RE: Charlie`s Angels - Special Edition
Well this movie - I would buy in flick-book format now if I could - I am now far more weary after purchasing Hollow man in the states and this bleeding thing dont even work on my player (mega p***ed off). So that has put me off - but I always want everything there and then, I hate waiting!
RE: Charlie`s Angels - Special Edition
i hate waiting too, i want everything yesterday, and as for hollow man i also got it from the states and mine works fine infact all my disks do and i got the mirco a980s the one everyone seems to hate, but it works for me so who gives a s***....lol
