on9dvd The Two Towers?

Tom Kearney (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Friday, 3rd January 2003, 11:02

Hi,

Has anyone used these before www.on9dvd.com
They seem to have some DVD`s at very good prices and have even emailed me to say they have The Two Towers available now!
Are they genuine DVD`s? A freind has received some dvd`s from them and I played monsters inc on my player, it worked fine. They do come in lightweight slips but you can track your order etc.

Thanks for any help,

Tom.

Yo ho ho, and aha MiJimlad.

Don`t be ridiculous - they`re selling Die Another Day, Two Towers and Chamber of Secrets on DVD and you`re asking if they`re legit ?!

I think you might have heard if these were on the market, or possibly seen them on the high street.

And they come in slip cases ?!?!? Hmmmm.... where`s my parrot....

Never heard of them but they follow the usual pattern of a Far East counterfeit set up i.e. FEDEX etc. delivery, DVD or VCD for every product. Some of the older films could be genuine releases but I`d stay away from it, if only to stop my credit card from being used throughout SE Asia.

I also note their *excellent* quality control on their front page - Would YOU order DVD`s from people who advertise the "James Bone Special Edition" ?!

I don`t think it`s ridiculous to highlight these gangsters (if that`s what they are)
I`m sure that HMV would say it is ridiculous to think that you can purchase DVD`s half price in Canada but their still legit!

Highlight them, fine. But you asked whether they were legit.

The names Bone, James Bone.

Surely this should now belong in the adult titles thread?!!! ;-)

So, £7.50 for a single DVD, but £8.50 for P&P (okay, up to 10 items, but still)

You might as well pop down to your local market and buy one of the "dodgy" ones from there. (FACT keep telling us thats where they all are)

It says the two towers: coming soon? (not available now)

Either way, that doesnt explain all the other new releases available on thier site!
