A tiny bit tempted, but still not sure, how does this compare to the XBox controller?

Apparently you have to configure the controller for every separate game you use it for. I like my XB controller as most recent games already have preset settings so it's just pick up and play.

Next steam sale I think starts 22nd December, still toying with the idea of getting one of these. From what I can tell they work quite well with some types of games, so might be good to have with my Mac...

...still not sure what a sale price would have to be to make me want one tho. :/ Maybe £25?

So I got a controller and link, discovered that even a modern fast wireless network is too slow for the link. Had to route a cable to the living room (been meaning to do that for a while though as the wireless bridge I'd been using liked to randomly die on me and need resetting to defaults and setting up every 6 months).

Tried the controller on my desktop, it works nicely on various games that already support it, not tried it on any that don't yet.

Today I routed a cable to the living room, tried the same games I did on the desktop on my TV, works really well cabled. Quite happy with it! Wouldn't pay full price, but in a Steam sale it's reasonable if you bundle the two together.

I recently built a new pc for gaming, mainly because i hate controllers for FPS games,  but now it turns out I have also become unable to use the keyboard lol, love the mouse part, but need a thumbstick for movement, simple movement on keyboard is fine, i just can't contort my fingers into place to also run/use grenade/heal/inventory etc, i was going looking at the razor tartarus, but at £100 plus its a no go, so i decided on the steam controller, on paper it seemed perfect.

In steam app games (pubg etc) its super glitchy on the mouse part, and in none stteam app games (COD Blackout)  it simply does not work at all, :(

any idea's ?  be shame if it just ended up in a cupboard lol...

managed to find a black ops 3 profile, had lots wrong with it, but have modded it to suit blackout,   working very well, but the mouse pad will take a lot of getting used to lol, i think it will be excellent once i'm used to it, and the haptic feedback is very good, and should help with accuracy..
