Anyone here use a Tassimo machine?

pat-w (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 22nd January 2014, 21:30

I recently got myself a Tassimo machine. I'm very happy with it, but the drinks are expensive.
Well the 99p store are selling a 16 drink tassimo pack for, you guessed it, 99p. It says on the pack its for an iced coffee but works as a hot drink, but needs extra water as its very strong.
More info at hotukdeals here-

There is also a £10 discount for the tassimo online webstore-

Yes, I have a Tassimo, and I saw the iced espresso pods in the 99p store, but didn't fancy them.

Might take advantage of the £10 voucher if I'm elligible. I already had a discount with my first online order from them.

You don't have to use them with ice, it comes out hot but its abit too strong for me, so I add extra hot water. Worth trying as an Americano.
You can only use one voucher code at a time on the tassimo web store.

I've had a Tassimo for a while.. It was a gift, so can't complain really - BUT I've always been a bit disappointed with standard of drink.. and when it works out at about 40-50p for half a cup of 'better than instant' coffee, well..

I stocked up on a few of the XL Caramel Macchiato (?) packs when Tesco were doing their 2 for £6.

The taste is better, but it still barely fills a cup..

Taking a couple of minutes and using a cafetierre makes a bit difference IMO.

Nearly got one very cheaply with some offer, which included a free £20 pack of pods. When I pulled the trigger the offer had expired...

Already have a Senseo machine but again, the coffee is mediocre but convenient. You can use your own reusable pods and fill with your own coffee for better quality but more faff. Also own an espresso machine (never used now) and a filter machine (which gets the most use)

HOWEVER, by far the best coffee maker I have is my simple little Aeropress - the coffee snobs gadget of choice. Cheap, easy to use and will even get the best out of mediocre quality coffee. There's even an annual Aeropress world championships for those who take these sort of things too seriously.

Well, I used the £10 voucher code, and obviously placed an order over £35 to get free delivery, so that's me stocked up with yummy drinks again for a while.

I love them.
