Harry Potter @ Deepdiscountdvd.com

This site are advertising the Philosophers Stone at $16.89 which by my reckoning comes to less than £12 (and free shipping I think).

Has anyone any previous dealings with them.

Also, I haven`t got any Region 1 DVDs and I noticed a previous comment on this site that quality of playback of Region 1s isn`t as good as region 2s over here. Is this really noticable.

Appreciate any comments.

Region 4 order from dvdcrave for £12ish inc postage and packing using the coupon on the site

Blast i just found out that the australian version is non anamorphic. Better off with the region 1 then.
This is stupendous. I thought those non anamorphic days were over. How can they do this? This is a top new release as well. Ridiculous.

Region 4 is FULL FRAME ONLY - although I believe there is a campaign against Warner on this front

BTW - it is a preorder at Future Entertainment for only £12.99!!!!!

Excellent company in my opinion

Watch out - the R1 disc will be titled "....Sorcerer`s Stone", and all the dialogue is altered to suit. Anyone with kids who have read the book will probably be beaten to a pulp if they get the R1!
Shame, as that`s a great price from FutureEnt.

A lot of new releases are being done as both Widescreen AND Full Frame, so they must think there is a market for it.

I suppose a lot of people still want the full frame picture ??

Colin

I have dealt with DeepDiscountDVD.com. See my thread in Retailer Reviews.

To cut a long story short, they took a month to deliver, they failed to answer all emails enquiring as to it`s whereabouts and when it finally turned up it was badly packaged and conequentally the case was broken and the disc damaged by the fragments. They are now ignoring my emails complaining about the damage.

AVOID!

Thanks.

I`ve ordered from Future Entertainment and will live with Sorcerer instead of Philosopher.

I`ve had a couple of orders from deepdiscountdvd and found them to be ok and fairly fast. Luck of the draw, I guess.
