I got one of these in December, really great machine.
I bought mine from HERE, because its multi-region, had free next day delivery & a two year warranty, not one year.

£26.91 more than your link, but worth that extra to me for the extra year warranty & multi-region

No DivX playback though, right? If there was, I`d snap it up immediately.

Not according to Pricerunner here

I`d try and find the spec/manual on the Panasonic site just to be sure though

From previous readings on forums, its been noted that all the models released (internationally I think) include the DivX compatibility, apart from the UK model. God knows why this is. If anyone has got the player and can confirm otherwise, I`d appreciate it.

Yes mate - removed from UK models. >:(
Pixmania sometimes do European models too so be careful... Not heard of the TNT before so this could well be.one..
Although this one says it has digital tuner it doesn`t say it`s `Freeview`... Unless I`ve missed it..

:(

Thought so. Cheers for confirming my suspicions Ste. I`d have bought one of these when I originally started looking had it not been for the lack of DivX playback, as it ticks all the other boxes when it comes to a suitable HDD recorder. It`s also a bargain price, which is even more frustrating....

Thats why I`m looking at the Pioneer 440 - http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/401407/art/pioneer/dvd-divx-recorder-with-80.html?srcid=1657
It has Divx playback, which I have tested in my store but does not have HDMI ( still a CRT so no need) and only an 80GB hard drive ( still over 60 hours in LP mode which I use the most)

There is a 160GB model here - http://www.johnlewis.com/Shopping/Product.aspx?Type=SKU&ID=230334812&source=13597

.. `only` being the key word. Nowhere near enough in my opinion. You really use LP? :o :o
For me, for the extra £70 and knowing you`re getting a UK Freeview model of a higher spec machine with twice the Hard disc space, there`s no contest..
