Page 1 of HMV- Free Final Fantasy extra`s dvd - Have you had yours?

I got an email from HMV online about a month ago saying if i emailed them back with my mailing address that i would recieve a free Final Fantasy extra`s dvd. Well, i havent heard anything and im just wondering if anyone else has got there`s.

Looks like another HMV disaster ! Did anyone else see the offer was limited in the original e-mail they got ??

As stated on the competition email, the stock was limited to the first 150 respondents, and I am afraid that in this instance you were not successful.

Its only when i clicked on the small print at the bottom that it takes you to the hmv rules, where in small print...it totally f***s you over!!

Not impressed with HMV at all, and after that X-Files cock-up they can go to hell!!!

Maybe i`m biased - as I did actually manage to get a copy of this disc, but aren`t you all being a little unfair on HMV.

This was a competition after all (their email address kinda gave that away) and you wouldn`t expect anybody else to give out prizes to everyone who entered would you?

HMV are by no means perfect and I`d be the first to admit that they haven`t got the best track record regarding promotions etc. I just think this time you are being a little harsh.

As I stated above I did not even realise it was a competition, as this was hidden on another link as mentioned above. Probably I was being naive given other comments on how poor HMV are with this type of thing.

They sent me an e-mail as I was on their mailing list saying give us your postal address and they would send one. If it was so restricted why not a draw of everyone who responded ?

It is also rather stingy of HMV & Sony (Columbia Tristar) to only make 150 available. I am always getting free sample CDs and CDROMs, which you see everywhere.HMV and Virgin even having them on the counters by their tills in their shops for you to pick up, which must be available in the thousands.
Why not do the same with DVDs ?
Sony (Columbia Tristar) in the past have mailed me very good sample DVD of their 1999 & 2000 releases as I am on their mailing list (if you want to join send off the flyer in with many of their DVDs).

Not supplying them to the majority of those who respond just creates bad feelings as others have already expressed.
