no, it doesnt seem to be on the website yet, it is in the laster flyer from the store, i picked one up after work today, hopfully i have posted it image correctly, just a quick scan of the page!

Its likely to be the Targa DP-5100x.

If thats the case, looking on videohelp, it does not seem that good a player, firmware upgradable, but has not been updated in nearly 10 months, and from reading a few users comments appears buggy. Its also likely a mediatek chipset which they are not great either, I could be wrong as it may not be the same player, but the pic looks the same as on targas website, descriptions are the same, and the new knock down price suggests its been around a while.

Its probably a great secondary dvd player, but to play divx/xvid etc... i would stick with the tevion from aldi. Please post the actual model number as and when you know that information. Thanks.

For £20 u ain`t going to get cutting edge products........u get the lowest costing and maybe worst performing unit currently available.
It`s fine for a second telly.....or the majority of people out there don`t care about specs etc....they just want to put a DVD or DivX disc in and watch what`s on it.
I think it`s a good intro pressie for people who haven`t tried DivX before.If they like the format they can upgrade to a better unit at a later date.

Anyone know if this has component out or progscan thanks.

According to the Targa website the DP-5100x does progressive scan.

Because if it is, im loading up the car on the 12th! They will be the perfect xmas prezzie for at least 4 or 5 people. I will look like a right old moneybags, flinging DVD players round like they are peanuts.

EDIT: Forget it. It can be made multi-region, but you need a firmware update, which seems easy enough. Bonus!
