No experience of this particular product, but I`ve paid a lot more for products that were a lot worse!

LinkSys wireless-b media adapter, streams music and photos (but no video) wirelessly from your PC. Connects to your TV (for pictures and menu screens), and either to the TV or your hi-fi for audio output. Complete with credit-card remote.

I got a Hauppauge equivalent a year ago, a bargain at £50 but without the wireless capability, so one with built in wireless for less than twenty quid surely must be a steal....

Will this work with a Linksys G router - given that it works on 802.11b? If it does, will it downgrade the router speed to 11Mbs for everything connected to it?

If the Linksys G Router works with 802.11b it will work fine but of course will only work at 11mbs. But for MP3`s and Pictures 11mbs wireless is more than fine. The Linksys Media Player can be a bit a pain or not with WinXP SP2 you are either lucky or not. I was unlucky and I did contact the useless Linksys support and found you can download a fixed version that works with SP2.

If you have a itunes library there is some custom made free software that replaces the linksys software not tried it myself but sounds good from here :-http://www.turtlehead.co.uk/
