Bargain Buckets Forum
Hi guys.
First time poster here!
Just to let you know that Nissan are doing a great offer where if you test drive any of their 4x4 cars, they will give you a form where you can claim a free 24 dvd box set!
Remember to mention the offer to the car showroom people.
Only 1000 dvds are available!

RE: Free 24 (Season 4) DVD Box set
Nothing but a prize draw. Another first time poster posts a non bargain in this forum. This is happening every day now! >:(
I`d say getting a free dvd was a bargain!
If we`re getting these prize draws as often as you say, maybe we should have another forum strictly for prize draws? (mods?)
RE: Free 24 (Season 4) DVD Box set
Yes a forum for prize draws and a forum for pyramid schemes. Maybe even a forum for first time posters who like to use these forums to advertise their products/affiliate links and try to make them appear as if they are bargains.
The title of this thread should read Free 24 (Season 4) DVD Box set Prize Draw.
RE: Free 24 (Season 4) DVD Box set
Calm down dear.
What`s wrong with a prize draw? Surely if there`s a chance of getting something for nothing, it`s a bargain. There`s no affiliate link or pyramid scheme here, either, so you can calm down about that, too.
Perhaps we should have a Thread Police, whereby if thread titles aren`t 100% factually correct and inclusive, the posters should be CAST INTO THE FIERY DEPTHS OF HELL!
i can see what lee`s saying and i too get fed up with the pyrmaid schemes and referral posts. They do seem to be appearing more frequently as word of mouth of these forums spread, but thats only to be expected.
Some of the first time (and even the repeat) posters don`t know what a referral link is so some of them are innocents who get jumped on the minute they post anything! I think i made that same mistake when i joined many moons ago. As for prize draws, the rules of the forums simply say that you`re not allowed any scams (i.e. pyrmaids and referrals).
The only thing that`ll make some people happy (this is not directed at you Lee, just a general observation) would be to have a vetting sytem whereby you post something and then a mod would have to check the content of every post before publishing it! That would not only dilute the community here but would put an unneccessary workload on the mods.
IMHO, I think that on the whole, the bargains forum is full of bargains, not prize draws/referrals/pyrmaids. Although frustrating, when these appear I take them with a pinch of salt and politely inform the poster that this is the wrong forum/against the rules.
As my previous suggestion of a prize draw forum was shot down, maybe we could build it into the posting forms that you have to select bargain/prize draw/genuine freebie/pyramids & referrals, and then type in the heading and body text. An extra couple of seconds filling out the posting form would certianly clarify things for all users.

I just wish folk would read the rules at the top of the page
`Bargain Buckets Forum
Welcome to our Bargain Buckets Forum. This is for postings indicating current cheap deals, special offers, low priced DVD and hardware, whether they are from Internet, high street or mail order suppliers.
It is NOT for requesting where to find the cheapest deals, only post offers and bargains you have found yourself!`
I canna do with people who are after a bargain and post a thread asking for one >:(
This was not a prize draw but an offer for the first 1,000 people to apply for a test drive:
"14. The 24 DVD box sets will be delivered to the first 1,000 test drive entries received between 15th August 05 and 30th September 05. The DVDs will be dispatched to the successful entrants within 28 days after this date." (from T&Cs if anyone had read them properly)
The real problem with this post is that it refers to an offer which has already finished.
It`s hardly worth crucifying a first-time poster for that simple mistake.
