RE: Bargains at Blockbuster

yeah blockbusters a quality place, picked up traffic for 9 quid and miss congeniality for 7 pounds...
I got, MIB LE £15, World is not enough £9 and Tomorrow never dies £9

How come all the blockbusters i go to have no sale stock and the only ex-rentals are about £17.
Typical.
Yes Elephant Stone, that would be an American branch of the Blockbusters chain that you are refering to? Seeing as you are in the states an all!

Blockbuster are a good source of `cheap` dvd`s, they sometimes sell them without the cases for a fiver, witness my titanic and thin red line. However they have recently upped the price of resale to the £13 / £16 range which is stupid as this is the price you pay for em on line. Also it`s counterproductive as they have to clear out the old stock to make way for new - and they aren`t shifting at these prices - glad that some of you are getting them at 9.99.
My main point is for future sales, things like the latest Arnie film were he has two poached eggs on his eyes. It has no 5.1 sountrack - It`s plain old stereo. And Cast Away - not a glimmer of an extra, no zemickis voiceover to explain why he never opened the last parcel, but set about the rest with gay abandon...So these are all manufactured for the rental market.. so beware.

Packaging error - "The 6th Day" *does* have a 5.1 soundtrack - check the site review.

Castaway is indeed a rental only release for now, but "The 6th Day" is a retail release.
