May not be up to DeWALT standard but for £15 this is an excellent general/light use tool. Available for collection at my local branch.

Sam.

Gotta disagree with ya.....I have a cheapo drill like this, got it from Makro a year or so ago.

Really handy to just do quick jobs around the house, don`t have to mess around plugging in - getting extension leads etc!!

For £15!!

why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive

Hi
bought one of these (or something VERY similar) from B&Q about 2 years ago. Came with two batteries and not had any problems at all. I know it is not the most egonomically designed tool but it does the job, certainly not dewalt but for the money I would say give it a go.

I will join in with that. I got a cheapo one from B&Q about 7 years ago, and while it is certainly rubbish in comparison with even the new cheapo ones, it is still going strong. I`ve used it in low duty stuff quite regularly, and am really surprised about the battery.

I got one of these cheap challenger ones, while it`s arguable if it was worth £50, it`s more than worth the £15. It`s already proved that you can drill through walls with a cordless (new one to me), and the battery and charger are quality (for a cheapo item).

I`d say if you are anything other than a heavy duty driller, buy it and take it back if it knackers before the year is up.

I have 3 other battery drills all "cheapo" types from B&Q, Wickes, etc and this 24v one at £15 is well worth it, the price of this is probably cheaper than getting new batteries for the other drills I have which have died due to extensive use over the past 10 years of house renovating. So even if I get 6-12 months out of this one I will be well pleased. Only the En suite, Bathroom, Kitchen, Utility, garden (decking) to be done so will hopefully finish house in approx 2 years. (week-ends/evenings only!).
