My local Asda store(Telford) has some good deals at the moment...
Dbrand H9713 DVD Recorder £69.96 (it says DVD +RW and R/RW ??) Relysis 15" LCD TV (Can be used as a monitor) £199 17" Widescreen version of above £229 DBrand 26" LCD TV around £400 if my memory serves me correctly.
Although I have a DVD recorder this seems like a bargain for those with a tight budget. Possibly the cheapest around.

Sorry, the brand is Dual (my mistake) . Since posting this, someone in my office has bought one. They came up as £99 at the till (still a good buy), and they honoured it as the large sign states £69.

I got a Asda £10 voucher on email - need to spend £50. Be interested to see if you can buy electricals. If so £70 becomes £60 but I don`t know what they do for delivery. CDs and DVDs are delivered free so fingers crossed.

Had a look at the 17" LCD in Asda Cumbernauld. Its the Relisys 1730 and is one I`d looked at online previously. They had it on display playing a DVD and the picture wasn`t great and the sound was poor. Make sure you see it in action before picking it up. Had quite fancied it to hook up with a Mac Mini but now looking elsewhere.
