See www.argos.co.uk

Then go to the clearance section then the audio section.
Stocks are very limited.

PS Are they any good?

Apparently, as with other Sony products, you need to install Sony SonicStage to convert all MP3s into ATRAC3 - the format it supports. I am really keen to get an MP3 player and do not have much music on my harddrive so it seems like a good machine to buy especially as an iPod costs £179.99 and has only 4gb of memory. Tempted, very tempted!

Edit - I`ve just given in to that temptation and reserved one for store pickup in Bishop Auckland and will get it on Monday.

SonicStage is considered to be poor. Not sure if simple burner works with the HD models (it`s designed for Minidisc). There used to be a Real Player plugin to convert tracks to ATRAC but I don`t know if it`s still available.

the sony machine was one of my contenders, but tbh after looking at the software i gave it up as a bad job :( which is a shame cos the newer model offers "native" mp3 support & up to 30hrs battery life, i think the new model is nw-hd3 anyone know which one this is ? (all the ones in this series look identical)

Just a warning but when u reserve items on the net for instore pick up you dont always get them at the internet price, if the store price is different or the promotion is over u will have to pay the full price if u want the goods

It`s really tempting. Looks great and I like the shock protection idea. But I have heard it`s terribly slow to convert files, and it looks like it`s being phased out in favour of a similar model that has mp3 capability (I expect this is the old model). A Creative Zen Jukebox 30gb can be had for the same price. Is that a better bet?

All well and good, but not as sexy as an iPod!
