I`m more interested in the "other" one you bought. Which one was it and at what price?

I take it it`s your camera up for sale on ebay, good try but it`s crap!

No it isn`t my camera, just thought I`d help someone else to get a bargain, after all isn`t what this forum is about!!! the camera is on amazon used for £250 without the microdrive system which isn`t cheap, so if this goes for less than £200 its a real bargain.

The camera I bought is a QV-R61 (6mp, 3x Optical zoom) from dixons with 256mb and camera case for £229.00 (half price).

Hmmm......

still sounds suspicious ......

I wonder if it`s being "sold by a friend" lol

Since when did the bargain forum become the place where ebayers could plug their items?

This needs to be removed.

Isn`t there a problem with lag time with microdrives? If they spin around aren`t they bound to be less reliable than memory cards which are now dirt cheap?

Did you end up buying from Ebay?

No warranty on Ebay - even from a "friend" - and did you see that Amex have introduced a no "second-hand" or "private sale" to eliminate any claims on ebay or similar (via paypal etc)

"Real bargain" or real con?

So the QVR61 from Dixons is a better buy than the one you saw on ebay? In that case I`ll follow your lead and ignore the one on ebay and will make a trip to Dixons!
