DVDSoon.com - 25% off all orders for ifidelity card holders

ifidelity itself costs $50CAD, but i had like 10 preorders with them and worked out that i would still benefit $16plus after reordering these titles. plus over the year i would get more discounts.

the only thing i don`t know yet is how it would all work out when it comes down to customs for things over $40 retail. would they mark the item the actual price paid (i.e. 40 minus 25% = $30) or whether it would be marked full price. makes a helluva difference when it comes to boxsets mainly.

i know most people here have issues with this company, but i don`t find them too bad personally.

25% discount is only for the xmas sale. Normal discount is 5% plus 1% for each year you are a member up to max of 10%. Even so the initial saving for original poster pays for the membership. No idea what price they would put on customs form. I use dvdsoon - never had any problems with them.

I say barkeep, put a little more ice in there will you, theres a good chap

yeah it is only for xmas but it applies to all orders including preorders. get enough box sets and it will pay for itself. i got er season 3, the shield s3, 24 s3, village and a bucha others and ended up saving around $40ish (after taking the $50 cost of the card away).

DVDSoon are very reasonably priced anyway but this 25% off offer is icing on the cake. I spent a happy hour cancelling orders and resubmitting to realise the savings!
Be careful on the Customs limits though! DVDSoon do not print the discounted price on the package but the full undiscounted price. If you order something for $51.95 it will say $51.95 on the package and you will get stitched by Gordon`s goons at customs. I`ve asked DVDSoon to print the post discounted price but they have refused suggesting that according to the terms of their agreement with customs here they need to show the full price. This is a shame as there are a lot of boxed sets which I won`t order because they go over the £18 limit.

you can appeal if you can prove you paid under £18 or in fact the amount of duty and VAT if you paid less than they sting you for! It`s a pain but it all adds up!

the only thing about appealing is the fact that you will still have to pay the extortionate royal mail handling fee.

they have it had for the last 2 years and each year they claim it will end at the end of the month/year but it never does. not worth it for them to be honest.

The Fidelity iCard offers a standard 5% discount off purchases ( plus an additional 1% for each year your DVDSoon Account has been opened ) plus free standard shipping which leads me to believe that the current free standard shipping offer will in fact end on 31 December, 2004.

I personally think the free shipping offer will end for non card holders. It`s another strong reason for going with their loyalty card.
