If the goods were definitely not marked up as used or second-hand, I`d e-mail them el pronto and explain what you found, mate.

Jungle unfortunately insist on you covering the postage if you return goods, but clearly they`ve sent you either a return or one that was used as a football in their warehouse !

I take it that you mean `An American Werewolf In London`? You were lucky to find this at all, let alone for £5.99! This R1 disc has been deleted for a while now, so maybe this was just a copy that was knocking around Jungle`s warehouse? :-)

well shouldn`t really tell you this since I work in the post office.

but here are the options of sending it back.

(have this all the time with BRITANNIA VIDEO CLUB)

1)called them up and say you want a return service sticker.
2)pay the posting but than ask for cert. of posting and recepit of the stamps paid from the post office counters.
3) (and this is the one I should not really tell you.) as long as you got the packing still, put it back in, seal it up, and put on the front "return to sender" then it is return back to them at their own expense / royalmail.

but in reality esp since the posting is not much I would not brother with option 3 nor 1 since 3 has lots of risk and option 1 you might spend the posting cost on the telephone to them . (nb: you do not need to insurance the DVD back to them since Cert. of posting will cover upto 28pounds if lost.

I had a similar problem, when I purchased Alan Parker`s Birdy from a PC World Store. It was shrink wrapped on the shelf for £5-00.
As I have always liked the film and being a fan of Peter Gabriel (who did the music) I could`t resist it.

Upon playing the disc, I noticed it was scratched, and the case looked suspect.

There was no problems with the film and I still put it down as a good buy even if it was shop soiled!

It could have been an unwanted present return, a demo disc, or simply on sale due to the condition of the case/disc.

However, it was not marked accordingly and therefore they surely broke trade descriptions act.

I have the original soundtrack album on vinyl, but the dvd sound is excellent.

Dear cake,

Thank you for your email of 4/5/01.

Please provide details of the condition of the goods, ie why you think
they could be second hand. We need to know this for our records.

Many apologies for this matter.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Regards
