The Cheapest Star Wars on the High Street thread

For those who decline to use the internet to order this. Or aren`t trusting Royal Mail this week.

Who`s selling the cheapest?

I had a quick gander today, and while none of the big shops I have seen are breaking the embargo...

HMV have their gold and silver boxes stacked up, priced at £34.99
WH Smith are selling at £29.99 for one day only on the 20th, then back up to the R.R.P

Anyone beat that?

Nope - £29.99 looks like the best!
Game had it marked up at £39.99!
Had hoped to get it today (have pile of WHSmith vouchers for my Birthday burning a hole!) but they are not breaking the embargo.
(Although market stall in Lichfield was selling it for £32.99 today)

Woolworths have a sign saying it will be £29.99 too. I wonder how much it`ll be at the supermarkets

Tesco`s web site has it at £24.99, although I don`t know if it means that it will be the store price as well

how about free gifts? do we know who`s giving away what? I know woolworths are giving away 5 top trumps cards if you reserve a copy

I also hear that HMV in London (Oxford st I think) are opening at midnight and selling an exclusive gold box set with the dvd`s and 6 cd`s of the music for £49.98 and I believe Anthony Daniels is gonna be there as well. They are doing the normal box set (still a gold box though) for £29.99

Derby HMV are opening at midnight tomorrow, but no-one would break the embargo...

Updating on prices. I can`t beat the Tesco price but...

Woolworths £29.99
Comet £34.95
Sainsbury`s £32.99
Asda £29.84

i noticed a borders bookshop in london advertising them in the window at £27.99, so i assume that is nationwide. Looks like amazon has forced them all to drop their prices to such a level that i bet a lot of them won`t be making much profit...
