this is the same, but rebadged player that Aldi were selling for 169.99 only a few weeks ago

now shown in my local newspaper from kwiksave at 139.99!!

or if u look at kwik save on the net it is only 119.99!!!!!!

if the second price is correct this is a blindingly good deal and plays everything i have thrown at the one i bought from aldi

Looks like a nice piece of kit at that price but does this player support DVD-R and DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW ? Also does it play raw mpeg files ?

Nice spot in stores now at £119.00. Keep the kids happy and me at this price.

Just picked one up in Lichfield (only 2 left) the lady said we had loads in yesterday and they had sold two box fulls. Tried a dvd+rw and it played no problem at all. It really is a lovely bit of kit for £120. For a comparison woolies do a venturer 6.2" tft for £175 and it`s not as nice looking imho, all i need to do now is find a nice case. One very happy man, thanks to original poster :D :D :D

Is this multiegion or hackable? My sister is looking for one for her kids so would be great if it handles all regions as well as recordable media

It isn`t multi-region :( , and i`ve had no luck trying to find a hack, so if anyone knows of one could you please post it. Many thanks in advance :)

i lifted this hack from elsewhere for this machine

well worth a try

multi region hack for this


1) Open the DVD Door, on remote press Setup, Right, Right, Right (that's the arrows in the middle of remote)
2) Enter 9653,a service page will appear,
3) Use Up/Down Bottom to change region Codes
4) Set to 0 (zero) for multi-region

Fat_Bob yes it does play svcd haven`t tried mpeg4 so i couldn`t say, but to be honest m8 if you dilly dally buying one of these players at this price you won`t get one :( They were selling like hot cakes m8
