Good price, but bear in mind that the first disc should be immediately destroyed upon delivery as it contains the DREADED 30th Anniversary version of `Night`!! >:( >:(

And the version of `Dawn` on disc 2 is the BBFC censored version! :(

All in all, not a great boxset.

So, which version`s would you like in your box set, make your mind up, it`s a good price but dont buy it ? I assume that`s what your saying? It`s a box set for F***S sake, you cant opick and choose, can you?
Or maybe I`ve missed something

What I meant was -
Yes 3 films & a bonus disc for £13.99 is good value, but unfortunately the versions of the films in the set are definitely not the best versions available.

All 3 films are available individually on Region 1 in MUCH better versions than the ones in this set.

My post was intended for anyone who thought this was some kind of definitive boxset which it most certainly is not!

It`s.......rubbish! :D

The 30th Anniversary version of the 1st film has brand-new, totally pointless and utterly useless material spliced into it that wasn`t even filmed by the Director & a new score that sounds like a drunk cat walking up and down a keyboard.
It manages to turn one of the best horror movies of all time into nothing more than a bad joke!

Sorry but I find it difficult to recommend a boxset that contains this piece of sh*t.

straightjacket,

I have the non-box set versions of Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. Are these ones the cut ones how can I tell?

Thanks

Day is uncut. If the Dawn you have has Full Uncut Version under the picture of the cover written in green then you have the uncut release, if not then you have one of the previous releases that are cut by 6 seconds. The best version of Dawn should be the soon to e released 4 disc region 1. The best version of Day is a little more complex as the recent Anchor Bay region 1 release has some audio issues that may put some people off. .

As far as Dawn goes if your copy has the second bite from the zombie at the start, the exploding head scene and the zombie kids being shot ...its the uncut one...the version in the Trilogy boxset is cut BUT when it was on TV a few months ago on the BBC(around the time of the 2004 remakes release) they showed the full uncut version with bites, exploding head and zombie kids getting shot..go figure... :/

I only realy bought the set for `Dawn` and `Day` (two of my fave films) Ive never been a huge fan of `Night` so Im not fussed if its not a great version..but come September I`ll be happy with the 4 disk `Dawn` set... :D

For the price its a bargain, I paid £19.99 for mine a while ago...for the purists maybe not, but for a bargain hunter who isnt too bothered its a steal
