The standard Venturer hack code is

1 Open Tray
2 press 81328
3 press enter to scroll through regions (select 9 for multi region)
4 press menu
5 close tray

but can`t guarantee it will work with this one.

Just got one from Argos today. From the box it ONLY plays DVD Region 2 - and no VCD/SVCD etc.

After I put in your hack I confirm it now plays Region1, as well as SVCD and VCD 2.0 on CD formats.

I am dead chuffed! Thanks once again - a great little buy!

Yes you can do all of these things with the Venturer portables and they even give you all the necessary connecting leads. On big TVs its just as good as a standard dvd player.
